Fun with epoxy.

Now to mount the flex arm. I used two layers of heat shrink to keep the tin from cutting through the insulation. Cut one length shorter than the other, and put the shorter length on first. This will taper the end slightly and might make it look better.

I used a two part epoxy, available at most hardware stores. A piece of cardboard makes a nice disposable putty knife to keep the epoxy in place. Prop up the “dry” end up on a AA battery to keep the epoxy from flowing too far. I used a fast curing epoxy, so I just let it sit for 20 mintues before continuing. You may need to wait longer, be sure to read the directions. If you get some epoxy on the terminals of the switch, wait a few minutes and then use a wooden toothpick to remove it while it’s still pliable.
