It’s been a busy week and I haven’t felt much like writing. I’ve got an idea for another bash script that I’ll try to get written tomorrow. After that I plan to walk through how I’ve put my home directories into subversion and the scripts that I use to update and commit changes.
I use at least two and often 3 or more machines each day, and synchronicity was always somthing I’d dreamed of. Subversion does that, and quite a bit more for my home directories, but there are some gotchas and risk of losing data so you’ll need to be choosy about which files and directories go into subversion.
